Departments of the Institute

The Institute’s scientific activities are organized within three departments that encompass fundamental, translational, clinical, and public health fields. Interdisciplinary collaboration among the departments forms the basis of the Institute’s research and practical activities.

Department of Clinical Anatomy and Experimental Modeling

The Department’s scientific activities encompass clinical anatomy, experimental modeling, and biomedical research. Its research activities are focused on the study of morphological patterns and the use of experimental models to investigate contemporary biomedical problems.

Department of Clinical and Experimental Pathology

The Department’s scientific and practical activities encompass research into the morphological and molecular basis of diseases, clinical pathology, and the development of modern diagnostic methods. Its research areas include histopathological, immunohistochemical, and molecular studies, oncological pathology, and modern approaches to digital pathology.

Department of Gerontology and Palliative Medicine

The Department’s activities are focused on research into the biological and medical aspects of aging, the health of older adults, and issues related to palliative medicine. Particular attention is given to promoting healthy and active aging, studying age-related changes, and developing modern approaches to the quality of life and care of older adults.
